바위에 붙은 꽃아
네 모습은 어이도 그리 아름다우냐
너는 먹을 것도 마실 것도 없는
큰 바위 옆구리에 붙어서
무얼 먹고 얼굴은 그리도 곱게
아름답게 단장을 하였으며
무슨 화장을 어떻게 하였기에
곱기는 그리도 고우며 향내는 그리도 진하냐
　
지난 여름 뜨거운 폭양 때는
얼마나 심한 기갈에 죽을 뻔하였으며
비바람 폭풍 몰아칠 땐 어떻게 매달려 있었으며
눈보라 휘몰아칠 땐 얼마나 춥고 떨려 밤낮 울었더냐
　
그래도 너는 지난날 괴로웠던 모든 일들은
아프고 불행했던 모든 일들은 다 잊어버리고
누구 하나 붙잡고 불평 한마디 하는 일 없이
오직 너를 지금까지 보호해 주시고 길러 주신
분단장 향수 뿌려 곱게곱게 옷 입혀 주신
사랑의 하나님의 오직 극진하신 그 사랑만
온 세상에 춤과 미소로 아름답게 전하며
살고 있는 네 아름다운 마음씨여
네 고운 마음과 품성의 생애여
　
그 마음 그 품성 나 또한 오늘 배워 받았으니
지난날 원수들 괴롭혔던 뼈아픈 모든 일들 다 잊어버리고
오직 지금까지 나를 길러 보호해 주신 아빠의 사랑
우주 최고의 행복자로 만들어 주신 아빠의 무한하신 사랑
영원히 영원히 행복한 미소와 품성으로 전하며 살리라

Flower on the rock

How lovely is your appearance!
What is it that you eat to make you so attractive?
Under the scorching sun last summer
Undergoing severe dehydration
How did you manage to keep yourself suspended onto the rock during such tempestuous weather?
How did you manage to hold on?
How you cried all night, quivering, trying to endure the snowstorm

Flower on the rock
Forget all the painful and sorrowful memories of yesterday,
Not voicing a word of complaint to anyone,
God who has protected you until now, who gently clothes and sprays perfume on you,
You testify of His love to the entire world with your beguiling dance and smile.

Flower on the rock
Today, I have learned from your docile heart and personality.
I too will forget my bone-aching pain of yesterday,
The love of my Daddy who has raised and guided me up to now,
Whose boundless love has made me the happiest person in the universe.
With a happy smile and thanksgiving, I will spread His love forever and ever.
